The Romanesque is a style, born in Europe between the X and XII century, the walls are thick, the openings are narrow, the half-light is characteristic. Art becomes the universal language in an era in which few could access the studio. The sculptures represent simple figures in scenarios that can be easily understood by the faithful. The term Romanesque was coined by the archaeologist Arcisse de Caumont in 1824 to define the particular style of that era.
